Banana Flower Vegetable
Banana flower curry is a great combination of taste and health. When cooked with spices, its taste becomes amazing and it is very much liked with roti or paratha.

Material
- 1 banana flower (finely chopped)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1 tomato (chopped)
- 2 green chillies
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- salt as per taste
- 2 tbsp oil
- green coriander for decoration

Method of preparation
- Remove the outer layer of the banana flower and chop the soft inner part finely.
- Soak the cut flowers in salt water for 10 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the onion until golden.
- Now add green chillies, tomatoes and all the spices and cook well.
- Add chopped banana flowers to it and cook covered for 10-15 minutes.
- When the vegetable becomes soft, sprinkle green coriander on top and serve.
Banana Flower Crispy Vadas
If you want to make something special with your evening tea, banana flower vadas are a great option. Crunchy from outside and soft from inside, these vadas will be liked by everyone.

Material
- 1 cup finely chopped banana flowers
- 1 cup chana dal (soaked for 3 hours)
- 2 green chillies
- 1 small onion
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- salt as per taste
- oil for frying

Method of preparation
- Grind the soaked chana dal coarsely.
- Add chopped banana flowers, onion, green chilli, cumin and salt to it.

- Remove the prepared vadas on tissue paper.
- Serve hot with green chutney or tomato sauce.
