After his father’s death and serious illness, he left Mumbai and went to Rishikesh, where he worked at a dhaba for just Rs 150 per day. Had left Mumbai after father’s death
Sanjay Mishra had told in an interview that the most difficult time of his life was when he fell seriously ill. Major surgery had to be done to remove pus from his stomach. Doctors had told the family that his condition was very serious. When he recovered after treatment, his father died within a few days. This incident broke him completely. After his father’s departure, he distanced himself from films and without any plan left Mumbai and went to Rishikesh.

Washed utensils and made omelette at the dhaba.
He started working at a small dhaba on the banks of Ganga in Rishikesh. The owner of the dhaba told him that he would have to wash about 50 cups every day and make omelettes for the customers, for which he would get Rs 150 per day. Sanjay Mishra told that at that time he only had to fulfill his daily needs. Therefore he accepted this work without any hesitation. For him at that time, moving his life forward was more important than respect.
Doctors had said there was little hope of survival
The actor also revealed that during his illness, doctors had told his family that his chances of survival were extremely slim if the operation was not successful. This difficult period taught him to look at life from a completely new perspective. Recalling the last conversation he had with his father, Sanjay Mishra said that he had asked him what he could do for him. To this his father replied, ‘Your advice is not needed.’ After his father’s death, he found a note in his diary, in which it was written that he had felt humiliated due to his son’s anger during an incident. The regret of this thing is still in the heart of Sanjay Mishra.
