Liam Dawson-Tom Banton: Just before the last match of the three-match ODI series being played between India and England, a big news has come out from the host team. The England team has released star all-rounder Liam Dawson and wicket-keeper batsman Tom Banton from the squad before the third and final ODI against India. Both these players have been released to play for their respective teams in the finals day of the domestic tournament T20 Blast.

Tom Banton did not get a chance to be included in the playing eleven of England in the first two matches of this current ODI series. At the same time, Dawson took part in the first ODI match against India, where the team had to face defeat. After this, he was not part of the playing 11 in the second ODI played in Cardiff. Interestingly, in the first ODI against India, Liam Dawson gave the best performance of his international career and played a brilliant inning of 68 runs. However, he bowled only two overs in that match.
Due to this excellent performance, he was not allowed to play the quarter-final match of T20 Blast, but now he will be available for the finals day. On the other hand, Tom Banton was also released from the England team for the quarter-final match of Somerset, but he was a complete flop with the bat and was out after scoring 1 run in just 5 balls.

The finals day of T20 Blast is going to be organized at the historic ground of Edgbaston. The day will start with the first semi-final, where the teams of Northamptonshire Steelbacks and Somerset will face each other. After this, Hampshire Hawks will face Notts Outlaws in the second semi-final. The title match will be played between the winning teams of these two matches. The special thing about T20 Blast is that the semi-final matches and final of this tournament are played on the same ground on the same day.
