Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav gifted 72 development works worth Rs 189 crore in Tikamgarh. Announced the construction of a medical college and made a big statement on the Ken-Betwa project, farmers and Ladli Brahmin Yojana.
Bhopal/Tikamgarh. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav performed bhoomi pujan and inaugurated 72 development works costing more than Rs 189 crore in a program organized at Khargapur in Tikamgarh district on July 17. These projects include several important development works including the redeveloped Tikamgarh Railway Station. The Chief Minister started the program with Kanya Puja and lighting of the lamp. During this, he also distributed benefits to the beneficiaries of various government schemes.
Big announcement of building a medical college in Tikamgarh
During the program, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that a medical college with all modern facilities will be established in Tikamgarh district. He said that the bhoomi pujan of this project will be done soon. The Chief Minister described it as an important achievement for the health and education sectors of the region.
Children are getting cultured and quality education from Sandipani schools.
The Chief Minister said that Tikamgarh has been blessed with Amrit Bharat Railway Station, new Sandipani schools and other development works. Sandipani schools constructed in Jatara, Khargapur and Bada Gaon will provide better education with modern facilities to the coming generation.
He said that in accordance with the changing times, along with quality education, Indian values are also being imparted to the students in these schools. Inspired by the friendship of Lord Krishna and Sudama, these schools will strengthen the moral values and sense of social relations in children. The Chief Minister said that the place of friends in life is as important as that of family members. He also said that the state government is making continuous efforts to economically empower women through Ladli Brahmin Yojana.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav spoke on equal citizenship law and development of Bundelkhand
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that with the implementation of similar laws, Muslim women will also be ensured their rights. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Madhya Pradesh is moving towards implementing uniform laws in matters like marriage, divorce and will.
He said that Bundelkhand is now moving rapidly towards development. Earlier, due to lack of water, the farmers here had to face problems like poverty and migration, but now the Ken-Betwa river linking project will change the picture of the area. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that in the coming time, Bundelkhand can leave behind states like Punjab and Haryana in terms of agricultural production.
Targeted at Congress, accused of ignoring farmers
Attacking the opposition, the Chief Minister said that despite being in power for a long time, Congress did not do any concrete work in the interest of farmers. He alleged that the Congress governments in the state never gave priority to river linking projects, whereas today the same people are protesting and agitating on this issue. He said that the farmers of Bundelkhand were deprived of irrigation facilities, but the present government is continuously working to change this situation.
Scope of irrigation increased, government’s emphasis on increasing farmers’ income
The Chief Minister said that till the year 2002-03, there was irrigation facility in only about seven and a half lakh hectare area in the state, whereas due to the efforts of the present government, it has increased to about 65 lakh hectare. He said that the government is continuously implementing new schemes to increase the income of farmers under Kisan Kalyan Varsh. To increase milk production, grants are being given to cattle herders and assistance of Rs 40 per mother cow is being given for running cow sheds. With the cooperation of National Dairy Development Board, milk producers are getting better price of milk.
Government’s focus on welfare of all sections and development of religious places
The Chief Minister said that the state government is carrying out grand development of major religious places related to Sanatan culture. Also, work is being done in equal spirit for the welfare of people of all religions and societies. Giving an example, he said that sister Rani is also getting the benefit of Ladli Brahmin Yojana and sister Rukhsana is also being given assistance of Rs 1500 every month. The government is committed to providing the benefits of the schemes to every section of the society.
Fisheries and animal husbandry are also getting encouragement
The Chief Minister said that along with farming, animal husbandry and fisheries are also being promoted to increase the income of farmers. The state government is implementing new schemes for the fishermen community so that fish production increases and the income of the people increases.
