Chhattisgarh Boiler Explosion: A painful news came out from Sakti district of Chhattisgarh on Tuesday afternoon, which shook the entire area. A sudden massive explosion at the Vedanta Power Plant located in Singhitarai turned the normal working situation into chaos within a few moments.

There was an explosion at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, a stampede broke out.
According to the information, the boiler suddenly exploded inside the plant at around 2 pm. The explosion was so loud that its sound was heard far and wide. There was shouting among the workers present on the spot and a stampede-like situation was created. About 30 laborers were seriously injured in this accident, who were immediately admitted to nearby hospitals through ambulances.

9 laborers died during treatment
According to the police administration, 9 of the injured laborers have died during treatment, while the condition of many others still remains critical. The team of doctors is continuously treating the injured. District SP Praful Thakur has confirmed the dead.
Relief and rescue operations continue
After the accident, relief and rescue work is being carried out rapidly in the plant premises. Police and local administration teams are present at the spot and are busy handling the situation. According to sources, there is a possibility of some more people being trapped under the debris, due to which the rescue operation is going on.

At present the real reason behind this accident has not been clear. Initially, it is being linked to technical flaw or negligence in safety standards. Only after investigation will it be clear how and under what circumstances the accident occurred.
Chief Minister expressed grief
Vishnu Dev Sai has expressed deep sorrow over the incident. Expressing condolences to the families of the deceased, he said that a thorough investigation will be conducted into this matter and strict action will be taken against the culprits.
