India vs Sri Lanka Test: Team India is going to visit Sri Lanka next month for the Test series. The schedule of this tour has already arrived. A total of 2 tests will be played on this tour. The special thing is that the first test is starting from 15th August. This has happened only once before in the history of Indian cricket and this will be the second time, when Team India will start a test match from 15th August i.e. the day of India’s independence.

In that Test match played under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, India had to face defeat by a huge margin of innings and 244 runs and that Test, which started from August 15 at the Oval, was completed in just 3 days. Playing first, India had scored 148 runs in the first innings of that Test against England. In reply, England made a big score of 486 runs in the first innings. India’s second innings faltered even more badly and ended at 94 runs only. In this way, in the year 2014, India suffered a crushing defeat in the test match which started from 15th August.
The first test will be played in Galle from August 15.
Even on the Sri Lanka tour, Team India has to play the first test from 15th August. This test will be held in Galle. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see whether Team India once again faces defeat or registers victory.
Team India will play warm-up match before the test series
However, a fool proof plan for Team India’s preparations for the Test against Sri Lanka is already ready. Before the start of the Test series, the Indian team will play a 4-day warm-up match on the Sri Lanka tour. This 4-day match will be played in Colombo, which will start from 7th August. After playing this warm-up match, Team India will travel to Galle, where the first Test of the series is to be played from August 15.
