MSME and engineering sector will get the biggest benefit
Assocham President Nirmal K. According to Minda, the engineering goods and MSME sectors are likely to benefit the most from this agreement. Finding new export opportunities will increase the global reach of small and medium industries and will also accelerate employment generation. Also, better infrastructure, strong supply chain and reforms making ease of doing business will strengthen India’s competitiveness.
The biggest challenge will be to meet global standards
Experts believe that the full benefits of FTA will be available only when Indian companies follow international quality standards, necessary certification, Rules of Origin and sustainability rules. If industries successfully adopt these standards, this agreement can prove to be a major gamechanger for India’s exports, investments and economic growth.
