Impact of the Heat – Warning for the People of Tamil Nadu

As this is an election week, a large number of people will need to venture outdoors. However, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning that the intensity of the heat will be significant. Consequently, it is essential to take appropriate precautionary measures. With voting scheduled for April 23, which is a public holiday, citizens are making preparations to travel to their hometowns, and special bus services have been announced. Leaders of political parties will be engaging in their final-phase campaigning efforts, but favorable weather conditions during the daytime are crucial. Otherwise, not only will political parties face difficulties, but the public gathering to witness the campaigns will also encounter hardships.

The counting of votes is scheduled for May 4, following which the election results will be announced. With schools and colleges currently on vacation, parents have found some relief; however, the situation remains challenging for those who must commute to work on a daily basis.
