Sunil Narine 200 IPL Wickets: In the 45th match of IPL 2026, the teams of Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders faced each other. In this match, KKR’s star spinner Sunil Narine achieved a unique feat, which no other bowler had done in the history of IPL. Sunil Narine is counted among the most successful bowlers of IPL. He has now joined a special list, in which no foreign player’s name was there before.
Sunil Narine is the first player to do so in IPL.
In this match, Sunil Narine bowled 4 overs and gave 31 runs and took 2 wickets. He dismissed Sahil Arora and Ishan Kishan. Especially the wicket of Sahil Arora was very memorable for him, because with this wicket Narine completed his 200 wickets in IPL. Narine now has 201 wickets in his name in 197 IPL matches. He has become the third bowler to take 200 wickets in IPL. Before him, Yuzvendra Chahal and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have achieved this position. But he is the first bowler to take 200 wickets as a foreign player.
The most important thing is that Narine has taken all his 201 wickets only for Kolkata Knight Riders. He has been a part of KKR continuously since 2012. This is the first time in IPL history that a player has taken 200 wickets for the same team. He has played an important role in the matches for KKR for the last 14 years and now this milestone has become even more memorable for his career. This achievement is a proud moment not only for Sunil Narine but for the entire KKR franchise.
SRH’s inning collapsed at 165 runs
Due to this brilliant bowling of Sunil Narine, Sunrisers Hyderabad team got bundled out for 165 runs after playing 19 overs in this match. Apart from Narine, Varun Chakraborty also took 3 wickets in his name. At the same time, Kartik Tyagi managed to take 2 wickets. Vaibhav Arora, Cameron Green and Anukul Roy took 1 wicket each.
