New Delhi: A terrifying road rage incident has come to light from Ranga Reddy district in Telangana, where a man was dragged on the bonnet of a car for almost two kilometres. The incident took place in the Meerpet area and was caught on camera by stunned onlookers. The video went viral on social media, sparking widespread anger.
According to police and local accounts, the trouble started when a car rammed into a two-wheeler from behind. The rider, Faisal, and his father, SK Jilani, got into a heated argument with the car driver immediately after the crash. In an attempt to prevent the driver from fleeing the scene before the police could arrive, Jilani stood directly in front of the vehicle.
In a shocking move, the driver didn’t back down; instead, he accelerated the car, forcing Jilani onto the bonnet. Rather than hitting the brakes, the driver sped off through the busy streets with the elderly man still clinging to the vehicle for his life.
HYDERABAD HORROR: A man dragged for 2 km on a car bonnet after a minor accident. This is not road rage. This is cold blooded attempted murder on wheels. Absolute lawlessness.

Two-kilometre chase ends in rescue
The eyewitnesses reported that the car raced from Balapur Chowrasta toward Mandamallamma Chowrasta. Despite the clear danger to the man on the bonnet, the driver refused to stop. The man was rescued only after alert commuters and local residents managed to chase down and intercept the car, which finally came to a halt.
Driver abandons car and flees
The driver managed to jump out of the car and disappear into the crowd as it took advantage of the confusion after the rescue. While Jilani escaped the bonnet ordeal, his son Faisal, who was hurt in the initial collision and the subsequent scuffle, had to be moved to a private hospital where he is currently being treated.
Meerpet Police have officially registered a case and have seized the abandoned vehicle. They are currently scanning CCTV footage from the entire 2-kilometre stretch to track down the absconding driver. The authorities have promised strict action as the search operation continues.
