A sad news has come out from Dehradun. Here a 23 year old girl allegedly committed suicide. The girl’s name was Riya and she was preparing for NEET exam. Officials said that Rhea took this step at her home in Chandrabani area of Dehradun on Tuesday morning. Riya was very smart in studies, she had secured 96.7% marks in 12th and later became the topper of her college. It is being told that she was under a lot of stress regarding the re-examination of NEET.
Written in suicide note- ‘Mummy-Papa, I love you’
- According to officials, a suicide note was also found from the spot. In this he had written, “Mummy-Papa, I love you.” The note also expressed disappointment and frustration over not getting success in his studies.
- In this short suicide note, the girl has talked about love and forgiveness, but her family members say that she had not shown any signs of depression or change in behavior before.

Circle Officer (CO) Sadar Ankit Kandari told ANI, “A tragic incident took place on Tuesday morning. Patel Nagar police station received news that a 23-year-old girl named Riya had committed suicide in Chandramani area. Investigation revealed that at around 10:30 in the morning, when her mother was calling her for breakfast, she did not open the door, then her father was called. When the door was opened, it was found that she had hanged herself.
Went to Jagran with parents at night
The CO said, “As far as the parents are concerned, they told that the girl had also gone to a ‘Jagran’ with them at night. She used to study till late night, hence she used to wake up late in the morning. This was her normal routine. There was no such disturbing thing in her routine or behavior. She lived with her parents and siblings. She has written just four-five lines in the suicide note, in which ‘I love you’ and ‘I am sorry’ Apart from this, even after talking to the parents and neighbors, no reason has emerged yet as to why he committed suicide.
