But Chhatarpur police and local administration ended the protest in Kupi village on July 19, citing rain and rising water level in Barna river. But Amit Bhatnagar’s hunger strike continued.

Amit Bhatnagar could not avoid mother’s words

Chhatarpur Collector Partha Jaiswal said that Amit Bhatnagar has ended his hunger strike by drinking coconut water. The administration will investigate the promises made to them and give proper justice. At present he has been admitted to the district hospital. Amit’s brother Ankit told that his brother’s health was continuously deteriorating. The family was saddened by this. But when our mother asked brother to break the hunger strike, he agreed to her request and ended the strike.
