Sonam Wangchuk Wife Statement: A big update has come out regarding Sonam Wangchuk who is fasting at Jantar Mantar. His wife Geetanjali Angmo said that he can end the fast if certain conditions are fulfilled.
Sonam Wangchuk Hunger Strike: A new development has come to light regarding social activist Sonam Wangchuk, who is fasting at Jantar Mantar on issues related to the education system and NEET exam. At present he is admitted in Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi. Meanwhile, his wife Gitanjali Angmo has indicated that Sonam Wangchuk can end her fast, but for this she has put an important condition.
Wife put a condition to end the fast
Geetanjali Angmo, who returned from Safdarjung Hospital to Jantar Mantar after the hearing in Delhi High Court, addressed the protesters. He said that if leaders of various political parties meet Sonam Wangchuk and assure her to raise issues related to accountability and reforms in education in the monsoon session of Parliament, then he will end his fast the next day.
Angmo also told that he had tried in the High Court to get Sonam Wangchuk transferred to a private hospital, but was not successful. She said that at present her husband’s health is stable.

Message of peace given to the protesters
Geetanjali Angmo also narrated Sonam Wangchuk’s message to the people present at Jantar Mantar. He said that Wangchuk has appealed to all the supporters that the proposed march should be carried out in a completely peaceful manner and the movement should not be allowed to be used in any way for political or other wrong purposes. He stressed on discipline and peaceful participation in the movement.
Doctors told the latest health condition
Head of the Medicine Department of Safdarjung Hospital, Dr. Prof. Manisha Thakur told that Sonam Wangchuk is being constantly monitored. According to him, Wangchuk’s vital health parameters are currently stable and a slight improvement in blood parameters has also been recorded as compared to the previous day.
Doctors said that a joint team of experts from AIIMS Delhi and VMMC-Safdarjung Hospital is taking care of him. According to medical experts, fasting for a long time can have serious effects on the body. Therefore, round the clock monitoring is necessary, so that any possible health problem can be detected in time and treated immediately.
