A Pakistani player has been accused of allegedly misbehaving with hotel staff in Sri Lanka, after which this player was also fined. According to media reports, this incident took place at the Golden Crown Hotel in Kandy, Sri Lanka, where the Pakistan team was staying during the World Cup. According to the allegation, a player of the team misbehaved with the female housekeeping staff. After which the hotel officials complained about this to team manager Navid Cheema. The manager fined the player and apologized to the hotel management.
The matter was quickly resolved by team manager Naveed Cheema, but the player is likely to appear before the Disciplinary Committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), where further action may be taken. According to a report by Telecom Asia Sport, during this incident, the female housekeeping staff shouted for help, after which the hotel staff came to help her. However, the name of the player has not been revealed yet.

This incident happened just before or around Pakistan’s last Super-8 match, in which they defeated Sri Lanka by just 5 runs.
