How to worship on Shani Jayanti?
– On the morning of 16th May, Saturday, take a resolution to worship after taking bath etc. You can perform puja in any of the Muhurat mentioned above. Collect all the puja materials at one place. Start the puja when the auspicious time begins.
– First of all, install the idol of Shanidev on a wooden platform in a clean place in the house. Anoint the idol of Shani Dev with mustard oil. After this, offer Aparajita flowers and light a lamp of pure ghee.
– Offer black sesame, black urad, black clothes etc. things to Shanidev one by one. While doing the puja, keep chanting Om Pram Preem Praum Sa: Shanaishcharaya Namah in your mind. Offer urad and rice khichdi to Shanidev.
– After puja, perform Aarti of Shani Dev with 11 lamps. Use mustard oil in these lamps. If possible, after Aarti, also recite Shani Chalisa. By doing this, Shani Dev is pleased and removes all the problems.
