Ranveer Singh Don 3 Controversy: Ram Gopal Varma Calls For ‘Ban’ On FWICE – Here’s Why

Ranveer Singh landed in trouble after he walked out of Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3. After Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment registered a complaint, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees issued a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer.

FWICE shadow-banned him, instructing the entire industry not to work with the actor until he resolves his ongoing issue with the Don 3 makers. Amid this,   has backed Ranveer and called for FWICE to be banned. The filmmaker strongly reacted to this matter, and shared a note on social media.

Ban FWICE, not Ranveer Singh: Ram Gopal Varma

Taking to X (formerly Twitter) handle, Ram Gopal Varma called for a ban on FWICE, not  . The director added that the ‘so called ban’ or non-cooperation will eventually become a ‘big fat joke’ on the federation. He stated that the federation is pure performative muscle flexing by an outdated union system, which is ‘desperately’ trying to hold on the grip.

According to him, lakhs of workers, which FWICE claims to speak for, aren’t aware of the internal facts of Ranveer and Don 3 makers’ dispute. Varma further claimed that the federation is neither court of legal justice nor a government authorises regulatory body. Calling it ‘kangaroo court’ which pretends to deliver justice, the Bollywood director alleged that FWICE ‘disregards’ established legal rules, due process and impartiality.

“Here we arrive at the main point that everyone in their heart knows including the disputing company , and for that matter even FWICE , that If @RanveerOfficial simply nods a yes , there will be a one kilometre long queue of producers outside his house tomorrow morning with cheques ready,” he penned. Ram strongly believes that stars like the Dhurandhar 2 actor create employment for lakhs of FWICE works, and it’s because of these actors that the industry exists.
