Akshay Kumar’s multi-starrer ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ seems to be failing at the box office. On the 20th day, the film earned only Rs 75 lakh and the total collection reached Rs 130.85 crore.
There were high expectations at the box office from Akshay Kumar’s multi-starrer comedy film ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, but after its release the film failed to impress the audience. Despite the big star cast and popularity of the franchise, the pace of the film has continued to slow down. Now the situation is such that the daily earning of the film has reached below Rs 1 crore.
Collection of only Rs 75 lakh on 20th day
According to reports, the film made a mere Rs 75 lakh at the domestic box office on the 20th day of its release. With this, the total net collection of the film in India has reached Rs 130.85 crore. Even after completion of 20 days, the film could not touch the figure of Rs 150 crore, which is considered to be a very poor performance as compared to its expectations.
Even such big stars could not save the film
Apart from Akshay Kumar, many actors including Sunil Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Rajpal Yadav, Johnny Lever, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Krishna Abhishek, Disha Patani, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta have been seen in ‘Welcome to the Jungle’. Despite having such a big star cast, the film was not successful in attracting the audience to the theatres.
The biggest earning days of the film were as follows
- First Sunday (Day 3): Around Rs 18 crore -biggest collection till date.
- First Saturday (Day 2): Around Rs 16 crore.
- Opening Day (Day 1): Around Rs 14 crore.
- Second Sunday (Day 10): Around Rs 7-8 crore.
- Second Saturday (Day 9): Around Rs 6-7 crore.
After this, there was a continuous decline in the film’s earnings and by the third week the daily collection came down to less than Rs 1 crore.

Difficult to reach Rs 150 crore
The film has collected a net collection of Rs 130.85 crore in 20 days, but looking at the current trend, it seems difficult to touch the figure of Rs 150 crore. However, the total worldwide collection of the movie has reached close to 190 crores. It is believed that this movie will reach Rs 200 crore worldwide in the coming days.
