Posting pictures with Irfan on Instagram, Gandhi captioned it in Hindi: “I met Irfan — a young man from a Delhi neighborhood whose thinking is not defined by his circumstances. His understanding of the Constitution, his vision of the country and his eagerness to learn show that India’s greatest strength lies in its youth.”
He said millions of youth like Irfan represent the “true hope” of the country. “They are curious, sensitive and aware of their rights and duties,” he said.
Irrfan grabbed everyone’s attention during the protests over the NEET controversy, when a video of him reciting the Preamble and talking about constitutional values went viral on social media.
