The concern of students and parents across the country regarding NEET exam is increasing. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi has raised questions on the functioning and accountability of the government by making several posts on social media platform X.

NEET paper leak of 2024 and 2026 mentioned

Rahul Gandhi said in his post that in the year 2024 also the case of NEET paper leak had come to light. At that time the examination was not canceled nor did any minister resign. The investigation of the case was handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation i.e. CBI and an attempt was made to calm the matter by forming a committee.

He alleged that now the same situation has been repeated again in 2026. This time the examination had to be cancelled, but despite this the Education Minister did not resign. Rahul Gandhi said that every time the help of investigating agencies and committees is taken, but responsibility is not fixed.

Three big questions asked to Prime Minister Modi

Rahul Gandhi asked three direct questions to Prime Minister Modi. He said that the country wants to know why papers are being leaked again and again. He asked that the government communicates with students in programs like “Pariksha Pe Charcha”, but why it maintains silence when questions are raised on the examination system. He also asked why the Education Minister, who is surrounded by continuous controversies, has not been removed from the post till now.

‘Modi government is running away from accountability’

In another post, Rahul Gandhi alleged that the central government is avoiding fixing accountability. According to him, first the government remains silent for a long time, then the culprits get protection and when the opposition raises questions, they are targeted. Rahul Gandhi also claimed that the then DG of the National Testing Agency was removed after the 2024 controversy, but was later made the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister. The Congress leader says that this raises questions on the intentions of the government.

Targeted at Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan

Rahul Gandhi also made serious allegations against Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. He said that the future of lakhs of NEET students has been played with and the report of the Parliament Standing Committee was also ignored. The Congress MP alleges that the parliamentary committee report was rejected only because opposition MPs were included in it. He said that how can a government which does not trust the report of Parliament assure confidence in examination reforms?

Demonstration of students outside NTA office

There is a lot of resentment among the students regarding the NEET paper leak controversy. On Saturday, hundreds of students under the leadership of National Students’ Union of India i.e. NSUI demonstrated outside the office of the National Testing Agency. The protesting students alleged that the future of the students is at stake due to corruption and negligence. The protesters put forward two major demands, firstly, the Union Education Minister should be immediately dismissed and secondly, NTA should be banned.

Questions on the future of 22 lakh students

NEET is considered one of the most important medical entrance examinations in the country. Every year lakhs of students appear in this examination with the dream of becoming a doctor. In such a situation, repeated incidents of paper leaks not only raise questions on the examination system but also weaken the confidence of the students. Experts believe that without increasing transparency, technical security and accountability in the examination system, it will be difficult to completely stop such cases. At present, students across the country are demanding an impartial investigation and concrete action in this matter.
