New Delhi: From Parliament to the streets, the opposition is attacking the government over the NEET paper leak issue. However, during the proceedings of the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, such an incident was seen which raised questions on the unity of the opposition. Leaders of Congress and Samajwadi Party were seen protesting together, but during the discussion inside the House, different stances regarding strategy emerged between the two parties. The debate in the Lok Sabha and the subsequent conversation between the leaders have made this issue a topic of discussion in political circles.
Uncomfortable atmosphere created regarding speaking in Lok Sabha
As soon as Lok Sabha proceedings began on Wednesday afternoon, the opposition created a ruckus on the issue of NEET paper leak and students. Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party chief and Kannauj MP Akhilesh Yadav wanted to present his views.
But the presiding officer first asked Congress MP K.C. Venugopal was given an opportunity to speak. After him, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju presented his views. Angered by this, Akhilesh Yadav started leaving the House along with his MPs. On this the speaker stopped him and asked him to present his views. In response, Akhilesh Yadav said sarcastically, “What to say?”
After this he said that action should be taken against the alleged brutality done to the students. Referring to the resignation of the Education Minister, he said, “Resignation can be taken whenever you want, but the real discussion should be on students’ issues.”

Congress-SP leaders’ talks continued even after the proceedings
According to sources, after the adjournment of the House, K.C. There was also a discussion on this issue between Venugopal and Akhilesh Yadav. It is being told that Venugopal asked why the demand for resignation of the Education Minister was not raised prominently, because it is also a major demand of the students. At the same time, Akhilesh Yadav also questioned the Congress leadership as to why other opposition parties were not taken into confidence earlier in the protests outside the Prime Minister’s residence. He also indicated that there was a need for better coordination among the opposition parties.
Together on the road, but there is a difference in strategy
Interestingly, before the Lok Sabha proceedings, Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav had demonstrated together outside the Parliament complex. Opposition MPs had come wearing black clothes to register their protest against the alleged lathicharge on students and the arrest of opposition leaders.
However, within the House, there was a clear difference in the priorities and parliamentary strategy of the two parties. Akhilesh Yadav reiterated the demand for the resignation of the Education Minister and warned that if the demands of the students continue to be ignored, the Samajwadi Party will again agitate on the streets. The opposition continues to attack the government over the NEET paper leak, but the differences that have emerged within Parliament regarding strategy have given a new direction to this political controversy.
