Prayagraj Lawyer Protest: The dispute between police and lawyers took a big turn in Prayagraj. In protest against the FIR of Georgetown police station, the advocates demonstrated on the road, burnt tires and demanded the removal of the SHO.

The dispute that started between police and lawyers in Prayagraj has now openly come on the streets. Angered by the action of Georgetown police station, the advocates demonstrated strongly outside the court premises. Slogans were raised during the demonstration, tire tubes were burnt on the road and demands were raised for the removal of the police station in-charge. The case has sparked a new debate regarding law and order and police action in the city.

Lawyers took to the streets to protest against the FIR

According to the information, the dispute started from a case related to the possession of a house in Georgetown police station area. In this case, the police registered an FIR against some advocates. Angered by this action, a large number of lawyers gathered outside the court premises and started protesting. During the demonstration, the advocates raised slogans against the police administration and registered their protest by burning tire tubes on the road. Traffic in the area was also affected for some time, leading to a tense situation at the spot.

DCP reached city, atmosphere calmed down after talks

Seeing the situation worsening, DCP City Manish Kumar Shandilya reached the spot with heavy police force. He interacted with the protesting lawyers and listened to their demands. After the intervention of police officers, the atmosphere gradually returned to normal and the protest was ended.

Advocates allege that the Georgetown police station in-charge filed a case against them without conducting an impartial investigation. He says that the police has taken unilateral action in the entire case, which has increased the resentment among the lawyers.

Questions raised on complaint of female advocate

The protesting lawyers alleged that an incident of alleged molestation of a female advocate had taken place, but despite her complaint, an FIR has not been registered yet. Regarding this issue, the advocates demanded immediate registration of a case on the complaint of the female lawyer, an impartial investigation into the entire matter and immediate removal of the Georgetown police station in-charge.

At present, the police say that the investigation of the entire matter is going on and further legal action will be taken based on the facts of both the parties. The administration claims that the situation is currently under control, but everyone is keeping an eye on this controversy.
