The Bintang Republik Indonesia (Star of the Republic of Indonesia) is Indonesia’s highest decoration, awarded to both civilians and military for their services to the Republic and its people. It was officially established in 1959. The award is given to individuals who have rendered exceptional service to the unity, continuity and prosperity of the Republic of Indonesia.

Established in 1959, “Bintang Republik Indonesia Adipurana” is the pinnacle of civil and military recognition awarded by the Republic of Indonesia. This prestigious honor is reserved for individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary dedication to safeguarding the integrity, vitality and greatness of the Indonesian nation.

Grand welcome for PM Modi in Jakarta

Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked Indonesia for the warm welcome upon his arrival in Jakarta. He shared glimpses of his welcome in a post on X. PM Modi said, “Thank you for the warm welcome at Istana Merdeka!”

PM Modi was given a grand ceremonial welcome at Istana Merdeka, the presidential palace in Jakarta. Sources told ANI that PM Modi’s visit to Indonesia is expected to yield big results.

As a major support to India’s election management model, India will assist in the development of specific EVMs for Indonesia.

Sources familiar with the matter revealed that following the proven success of India’s air-to-air missile power in Operation Vermillion, Indonesia has decided to import Indian Astra missiles.

To strengthen critical mineral supply chains, India will invest in manufacturing of steel, nickel and rare earth permanent magnets in Indonesia.

Indonesia is expanding its BrahMos inventory, India will support Indonesia with more batteries.

According to sources, India and Indonesia are set to jointly develop the Sabang port, which overlooks the Strait of Malacca, and is 100 miles away from India’s Great Nicobar Port project.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi signed the guestbook after meeting Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at Istana Merdeka (Presidential Palace). The two leaders were seen shaking hands and exchanging cordial smiles. (ANI)
