Baby Solid Food Tips: Are you going to start solid food for the first time to your 6 month old baby? Know the 5 common mistakes parents often make and how introducing solid foods the right way can give your baby better nutrition and healthy eating habits.
After 6 months, solid food is started to be given to the child in addition to mother’s milk. During this time, parents make some common mistakes, due to which the child’s nutrition may reduce. Pediatrician Madhavi Bhardwaj tells through social media that parents start giving solid food to a 6-month-old child, but some mistakes can cause lack of growth.
Do not give pulses and rice water.
The doctor says that you should not just give water to a 6 month old child with pulses or rice, but should feed the whole pulses and rice by mashing them properly. If the child’s stomach is filled with water, he will not be able to get nutrition. Parents often make this mistake.
Do not feed too much milk
Parents often give large amounts of milk to children who are 6 months old. They give very little solid food. Whereas this should not be done. If you are breastfeeding your child or giving formula milk, then continue it but make sure to feed him the main meal.
Feed fruits, not juice
Doctor Madhavi Bhardwaj says that children should not be given only fruit juice. If you want to give complete nutrition to the child, then it would be right to give him whole fruits. Try to give soft fruits like banana, mango, apple etc. by lightly mashing them.

keep children away from biscuits
Often parents feed biscuits dipped in tea to a 6 month old child, which is not good at all. If you make your child into the habit of eating such flour foods, then he will like all these things very much and the child will like to eat more of them.
Do not stop these things when you have a cold
If the child gets cold, the parents stop giving him milk and also give him fruits. You should consult a doctor before this and then prepare a diet plan for the child.
