Clouds of crisis over talks in Islamabad
Uncertainty has also increased regarding the next talks proposed in Islamabad. The American side is indicating to continue talks, but the situation regarding Iran’s participation is not clear. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has indicated that Tehran may or may not attend the meeting – a decision that will be taken only after reviewing the circumstances. Iran has raised questions about the credibility of the talks process, calling US policies “contradictory” and “provocative”.
