According to Drik Panchang, Ekadashi Tithi will start on June 24, 2026 at 6:12 pm. This date will last till 8:09 pm on June 25, 2026. On the basis of Udaya Tithi, the fast of Nirjala Ekadashi will be observed on Thursday, June 25.
Auspicious time of Paran
The fast will be broken on the next day i.e. 26th June 2026, Friday. The auspicious time of Paran will be from 5.25 am to 8.13 am. Although Dwadashi Tithi will last till 10.22 pm, but in the scriptures, performing Parana in the morning is considered more auspicious and fruitful.
How to observe Nirjala Ekadashi fast?
On the day of Nirjala Ekadashi, wake up early in the morning, take bath and worship Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi as per the rituals. Offer Tulsi leaves, yellow flowers, fruits and Panchamrit to God. Chanting mantras and bhajans of Lord Vishnu throughout the day is considered auspicious. Devotees observing fast give up food and water on this day.

According to religious beliefs, donating on Nirjala Ekadashi increases the benefits of fasting manifold. On this day, donating a pitcher filled with water, umbrella, clothes, fruits, sherbet, fan and food to needy people is considered very auspicious. Donating water during the summer season has been said to be especially auspicious.
