Commonwealth Games 2026 India Schedule, Day 8: India’s star athlete Neeraj Chopra will be in action on the 8th day of the Commonwealth Games 2026. In the first 7 days, India has won 15 medals and has confirmed medals in boxing. Now on the 8th day, India has to fight for the gold medal in 7 events of 3 sports. Out of these, 3 events will be of athletics, while 2 each of weightlifting and cycling. Neeraj Chopra will be seen in the Javelin event, which will take place early in the day. This will be the qualifying round of Javelin, through which Neeraj will try to make it to the finals.

Neeraj Chopra’s action will be seen

India’s event will start with athletics on the 8th day in Glasgow, where Neeraj Chopra will be seen competing in the qualifying round of men’s javelin throw. Due to groin injury, Neeraj Chopra did not participate in the last Commonwealth Games held in Birmingham. In such a situation, he would like to register a golden victory in Glasgow. Neeraj Chopra’s first attempt will be to qualify for the finals.

Apart from Neeraj Chopra, two more javelin throwers from India will be seen in the Commonwealth Games 2026, whose names are Rohit Yadav and Yashveer Singh. All three have been placed in Group A of the qualifying round. The big thing is that Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan is also in this group. The qualifying round of men’s javelin throw will start at 2:55 pm.
