Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari for the approval of two important road projects worth Rs 4,415.60 crore in Madhya Pradesh by the Economic Affairs Committee of the Union Cabinet. He said that the direct benefit of having a double engine government in the state is visible in the development works and that is why the pace of development in Madhya Pradesh is continuously increasing.
Betul, Khandwa, Khargone and Barwani will get big benefits
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that this big gift of the Central Government will give a new direction to the development of tribal dominated districts of Betul, Khandwa, Khargone and Barwani of the state. Completion of these projects will increase economic activities in the area and will also create new employment opportunities for the local youth.
Two important road projects of NH-347B got approval
Two important road projects related to NH-347B were approved in the Union Cabinet meeting held on June 3 in New Delhi. Under this, the existing intermediate lane on Hiwarkhedi-Roshni-Ashapur-Rudhi section will be upgraded to two-lane road with paved shoulder standard. This road will be approximately 125.01 kilometers long. Apart from this, Deshgaon-Julwaniya section will be converted from two lane to four lane road under hybrid annuity mode. The length of this part will be about 108.643 kilometers.
Rs 4,415 crore will be spent on 233 km long corridor
The total length of these two projects approved by the government is said to be 233.653 kilometers. Approximately Rs 4,415.60 crore will be spent on the entire project. Under the project, a 16.20 km long greenfield bypass will also be built in Khargone district, which will make the traffic system more convenient.
Modern road network will be connected to PM Gatishakti Yojana
It has been told that this advanced road corridor will ensure better road connectivity in the state. Additionally, it will also strengthen multimodal connectivity by connecting six PM Gatishakti economic nodes. The government believes that this will improve transport facilities and also promote industry, trade and tourism activities.
