While launching the Pulse Polio Campaign, AMR 2.0 Policy and HPV Vaccination, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav termed health as the top priority of the government.
Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that people say that no one has seen God, but when doctors treat patients in difficult times and make them healthy, then after parents, they look like God. He said that the work of doctors working in all areas of the state has been commendable and their contribution will always be remembered.
The Chief Minister said this during a program organized at RCVP Noronha Administration and Management Academy on June 28. On this occasion, he launched **Pulse Polio Campaign** and **Suman Panchayat Programme**. Also released **State Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) 2.0 Policy**. The program also honored districts doing excellent work in HPV vaccination campaign and Healthy Liver Mission.
Health sector declared the first priority of the government
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that with the formation of the government, health services were given top priority. Many new experiments were done under this thinking. He said that to further strengthen the health system, integration of two ministries was done, which was certainly challenging, but proved to be a necessary decision in public interest.
Appreciation of doctors and Prime Minister Modi’s leadership in Corona crisis
The Chief Minister said that the entire world was in crisis during the Corona epidemic. In that difficult time, India faced this challenge strongly due to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the tireless hard work of the doctors. He said that like everyone else, he too was worried when the Prime Minister announced the nationwide lockdown. But Prime Minister Modi’s confidence, trust in the countrymen and the medical system became India’s biggest strength. That is why the world saw India fighting the pandemic effectively and recovering rapidly.
Antimicrobial resistance policy called a big initiative
The Chief Minister said that the security of the country is not limited to just protecting the borders, but it is equally important to combat health threats coming from outside the borders. In line with this thinking, the Health Department’s ‘State Antimicrobial Resistance 2.0 Policy’ is an important and far-sighted step.
He said that to build a healthy society, every citizen has to be health conscious. ‘Sarve Santu Niramaya’ is not just a mantra, but the basic spirit of Indian culture and Antyodaya based good governance. This resolution is linked to the welfare of every section of the society including youth, women, poor and farmers.
Health system changed due to many schemes including Ayushman Bharat
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, more than 60 crore people of the country have got health security through Ayushman Bharat Scheme. Earlier, in case of serious illness, people used to think of going abroad for treatment, but today India itself has emerged as a big center of medical services and patients from abroad are also coming here for treatment.
He said that during the 12 years of Prime Minister Modi’s tenure, many historic schemes were implemented in the health sector. Crores of people have benefited from schemes like Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, Healthy Liver Mission and Sickle Cell Elimination.
96 percent target achieved in HPV vaccination in two months
The Chief Minister said that the state government has resolved to save beloved daughters from serious diseases like cervical cancer. He said that the Health Department achieved 96 percent target of HPV vaccination campaign within just two months, which is a big achievement.
Pulse polio campaign will run on a large scale across the state
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that extensive preparations have been made in the entire state to make the Pulse Polio campaign successful. Under this, 1,400 special mobile teams have been formed. And 43 thousand teams will go door-to-door to administer polio medicine to children. He said that 1 lakh 66 thousand vaccinators and 26 thousand supervisors will provide their services in the campaign. Apart from this, 83 thousand polio booths have been established across the state. Congratulating all the officers, employees and health workers associated with the campaign, the Chief Minister called for making it successful with public participation.
