Madhya Pradesh Cabinet approved Uniform Civil Code 2026. Also approved many important decisions including 8 other bills and upgradation of 73 health institutions.
Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh government has approved many important decisions related to the administration, law and health services of the state. The bill of ‘Madhya Pradesh Uniform Civil Code (UCC) 2026’ was approved in the cabinet meeting held at Chaman Mahal, Jagdishpur, the historical fort of Gond dynasty, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. Now it will be presented in the Assembly after completing the necessary constitutional process. Apart from the Uniform Civil Code, eight other important bills were also approved to be presented in the upcoming assembly session. To strengthen the health services of the state, a major decision was also taken to upgrade 73 health institutions.

While approving the ‘Madhya Pradesh Uniform Civil Code, 2026’ bill, the Cabinet has authorized the Law and Legislative Affairs Department to present it in the Assembly. The government says that this law will strengthen the spirit of equality, justice and equal civil rights in the state. For this, all necessary constitutional and procedural formalities will be completed.
8 other important bills will be presented in the assembly
Apart from the Uniform Civil Code, many other bills were also approved in the cabinet meeting. In this, approval was given to present the “Madhya Pradesh Repeal Bill, 2026” again in the Assembly and get it passed. Similarly, by approving the “Madhya Pradesh Highways (Amendment) Bill, 2026”, the Public Works Department was authorized for further action.
Major decisions related to fire fighting, health and private universities
‘Madhya Pradesh Fire and Emergency Services Bill, 2026’ was also approved in the meeting. Apart from this, the amendment bill related to the establishment and operation of private universities was approved, which includes the decision to give relaxation in some provisions related to land, built up area and endowment fund for the establishment of private universities. Along with this, the cabinet also approved “Madhya Pradesh Dhanvantari Health University Bill, 2026”. The responsibility of presenting it in the Assembly and carrying forward the process of passing it was handed over to the Public Health and Medical Education Department.
Approval also given on Medical Sciences University, Labor Code and Ease of Doing Business.
The Cabinet also approved the “Madhya Pradesh University of Medical Sciences (Amendment) Bill, 2026”. Besides, “Madhya Pradesh Code on Empowering Workplaces, 2026” i.e. Madhya Pradesh Shram Shakti Samhita was also approved. Apart from this, with the aim of promoting industries, “Madhya Pradesh Ease of Doing Business Bill, 2026” also got the approval of the Cabinet. The concerned departments have been instructed to take further action on all these bills in the Assembly.
MP Health News: Big decision for upgrading 73 health institutions
To improve the health facilities in the state, the Cabinet approved the upgradation of 73 health institutions. For this, Rs 776 crore 13 lakh has been sanctioned, so that better and accessible medical facilities can be provided to the common citizens in their own areas.
Which health institutions will be upgraded
As per the government’s decision, 29 sub-health centers will be converted into primary health centers with 6 beds. Whereas 19 primary health centers will be developed as community health centres. Apart from this, 18 community health centers will be upgraded to 50 bedded civil hospitals, while 7 health institutions will be developed as 100 bedded hospitals.
New posts will be created, health services will be strengthened
With the expansion of health institutions, 1600 regular and 71 contractual posts will be created. Apart from this, 560 employees will be appointed through outsourcing agency. The cabinet has also approved Rs 122.83 crore per year for the expenditure on these posts. The Government believes that the upgradation of health institutions and creation of new posts will not only provide better medical facilities to the local people, but the people of the surrounding areas will also benefit from quality health services.
