She has finally reacted to the tag in an interview with Variety India. The young actress says the label never hurt her but left her confused because it simply did not make sense.
Bhagyashri questioned why an actress is often blamed for a film’s failure when she has no control over script changes, editing decisions, or other creative aspects of filmmaking.
Bhagyashri also revealed that several actresses, including Taapsee Pannu, Shruti Haasan, and Sreeleela, have faced similar criticism in their careers but stood their ground and came on top.
Bhagyashri ended by saying that cinema is a team effort and success or failure cannot be attributed to one person alone. Now that she has scored a hit, one needs to see how she handles her career.
