CM Yadav said- Will approve the bill in Jagdishpur
Earlier on Friday, while addressing a gathering in Katni district, Mohan Yadav had said that the bill will be approved in a special cabinet meeting to be held in Jagdishpur and then it will be introduced during the upcoming monsoon session of the state assembly. CM Yadav said, “We are moving ahead with the principle of ‘One Nation, One Law’ in the upcoming monsoon session. Therefore, before taking this proposed law (UCC) to the Assembly for passing, we will clear it in Jagdishpur, which was once the old capital of Bhopal state. Its name was changed to Islampur by the invaders, but now it has been changed back to Jagdishpur. It is there that we will clear this bill (UCC).”
‘Only a monogamous person will be able to live in MP’
The Chief Minister said, “When there should be one nation, one Constitution, one Head and one Flag, why should there be separate laws for Hindus and Muslims? ….Under the proposed Uniform Civil Code (UCC), only a person married to a person will have the legal right to reside in Madhya Pradesh.” (ANI)
