If plants are fertilized from time to time, flowers and fruits also come early. For this you will need to mix some pulses, egg shells and some other things. Let us know what are the things required to make micronutrient fertilizer at home.
How to prepare micronutrient fertilizer?
- 2 spoons jaggery
- 1 handful of pulses (mung or lentils)
- 4 to 5 egg shells
- 2 banana peels
- 1 liter water
Method of making micronutrient fertilizer at home
- First of all, soak the pulses in water for 6 to 8 hours. Now wash the egg shells thoroughly, dry them and grind them.
- Cut the remaining banana peels.
- Now pour water till the top in a plastic or glass container. In this you have to add a small piece of jaggery, soaked lentils, egg shell powder and banana peels.
- Keep the container covered in shade for about 5 to 7 days. Cover it with some cloth. Stir the mixture once daily.
- Prepare micronutrient fertilizer by mixing five parts water in one part solution. You have to put this in the plants once or twice a week.

- Using homemade micronutrients strengthens the roots of plants. Nitrogen and other nutrients present in pulses make the plant strong.

- Potassium is found in abundance in banana peels, which helps in increasing the number of flowers and the quality of fruits.
- The properties naturally act as food for bacteria and microorganisms. This makes the soil fertile. If you use home made fertilizer, the plants will get nutrition and the leaves will become shiny.
Do not use homemade micronutrient fertilizer solution more than twice a month because if too much fertilizer is applied to the plants, it will have negative effects.
