New Delhi: A 31-year-old man stabbed two security guards in Mira Road near Mumbai because the victims couldn’t recite the Kalma (an Islamic declaration of faith). The accused, identified as Jaid Zubair Ansari, was influenced by ISIS propaganda videos.
Both security guards were on duty at an under-construction site when Ansari approached them and asked for their names and religions. The incident occurred at around 4 am on Sunday.
Later, Ansari asked whether they could read the Kalma. The guards denied, resulting in the accused pulling out a knife and stabbing both guards.
