what did the health officer say
The health official said that since the woman had come to the PHC in a private vehicle, the doctors referred her to the CHC in the same vehicle to avoid any delay. Dr. Kori said, “Between Ghutas and Bichhiya, her labor pain intensified and she gave birth to all four children on the way. All four children were born dead. After this, she was admitted to CHC Bichhiya. At present, the condition of the woman is stable and she is healthy.”
Cleaning due to non-availability of ambulance
When asked about allegations of ambulances not arriving even when called, the health official said ambulance services are managed at the state level and some waiting time is normal. He said, “Ambulances are managed at the state level. They are generally not immediately available, and whenever one is called, it usually takes about 30 minutes to an hour to arrive. As a result, people sometimes face difficulties and if a private vehicle becomes available quickly, some people prefer to use that instead.”
