LSG vs RR IPL Points Table 2026: Rajasthan Royals Jump To 2nd Spot

Riyan Parag-led Rajasthan Royals (RR) returned to winning ways and handed a 40-run defeat to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 32nd match of IPL 2026. After winning four back-to-back game, RR suffered a slump in form and they lost their previous two fixtures.

The visiting side bowled out LSG for 119 while defending a target of 160. Courtesy of their win, RR have jumped to the second spot in the IPL 2026 points table. They were in the fourth position before the fixture. RR have 5 wins in 7 matches. The inaugural IPL Champions have 8 points at an NRR of +0.790.

Punjab Kings (PBKS) continue to retain the top spot. The Shreyas Iyer-led side has 5 wins in six matches. The IPL 2025 runners-up have 11 points at an NRR of 1.420. PBKS haven’t lost a game so far. Their fixture against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) was washed out due to rain.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) sit in the third spot now. They have 4 wins and 8 points. Sunrisers Hyderabad are fourth in the table. LSg, meanwhile, continue to sit in the ninth position.

The Rishabh Pant-led side has only 2 wins in seven matches. LSG have 4 points at an NRR of -1.277. Another couple of defeats here will all but end LSG’s chances of making it to the second round. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are reeling in the last spot.

 

How RR defeated LSG?


Asked to bat first, RR put on a total of 159/6 on the board. Vaibhav   had a rare day off with the bat and he was dismissed for 8 off 12 balls. Ravindra Jadeja was RR’s top-scorer and he remained unbeaten on 43 off 29.

Courteys of his knock, RR breached the 150-run mark and put on a defendable total on the board. Jadeja also shone with the ball and dismissed Nicholas Pooran. He spent 29 runs in his four overs.

Jofra Archer was the pick of the bowlers and he scalped 3 wickets for 20 runs. He also bowled a maiden over. Nandre Burger and Brijesh Sharma scalped a wicket each as LSG were bowled out for 119.
