Viral Post, Microsoft Employee Who Quit Job Shares Regret: Good salary, big company and secure future, most people dream of such a career. But Chris Harms, a 27-year-old former employee of Microsoft, who left his job with an annual salary of about $ 2 lakh (about ₹ 1.7 crore), says that as exciting as the decision of leaving a stable career looks, it is equally difficult in real life. Almost a year after leaving the job, he has openly told for the first time what difficulties, failures and self-doubt he had to face after this decision.
‘After a few days, I feel like I have made the biggest mistake’
Chris Harms said in one of his videos that sometimes he feels that leaving Microsoft was probably the worst decision of his life. According to him, a job in a big company not only gives good income but also gives a strong identity, respect and a feeling of future security. In such a situation, it is not easy to get out of that world. However, he clearly said that despite all the difficulties, he does not regret his decision. He believes that he is moving in the right direction, but sometimes it becomes very challenging to maintain faith in himself.
Arrived in Australia, but the beginning was more difficult than expected
After leaving the job, Chris went to Australia. He neither had any fixed business model nor any firm plan. He gave himself five months to build his career in the online world. During this time, he started making videos for brands, finding new clients and working on different online business ideas. But despite months of hard work, he did not get initial success. He told that he got his first opportunity to earn online when only a week was left for his return. He says that the strict time limit got the work done, which long-term planning could not do.
More planning, less decisions, this is the biggest lesson
Chris believes that he prepared for building a business for a long time, but he asked the question late whether the idea he was working on was actually needed. In his words, it was less research and more fear. Because of this, many months passed in which hard work was done but concrete results were not seen. See viral post below-
Now showing the real picture of entrepreneurship
Today Chris Harms is continuously sharing his journey on social media. Their aim is not just to show success stories, but to show how challenging it can be to leave a secure corporate job and start your own business. He believes that success in entrepreneurship is not achieved overnight, but the biggest test behind it is continuous learning, facing failures and maintaining faith in oneself.
