This video shows a conversation with a cab driver, in which he tells about his work and earning experiences. In the video, the driver told that he used to work earlier and his monthly salary was around Rs 25 thousand. But he was not satisfied with this income and had difficulty in meeting his needs.
Left job of Rs 25,000, earning great income from driving
According to the driver, he decided to leave his job and drive a cab. After this change, his monthly earnings reached approximately Rs 1 lakh. He said that now he has more control over his time and can decide for himself when and how much work he has to do. He also told that now he does not have to follow any fixed office timings, rather he works as per his convenience. He described this freedom as the biggest advantage for himself. Discussion on ‘Gig Entrepreneur’
Responding to this conversation, Akash Gupta said that such people are not just employees but are small entrepreneurs at their own level i.e. “Gig Entrepreneurs”. According to him, people who are earning by managing their own resources and time are, in a way, running their own small business.

After the video went viral, different opinions of people came forward. Many users praised the gig workers and wrote that such people deserve respect. Some called it an inspiring change. However, some people also objected to the word “entrepreneur”. He said that merely doing one’s own work or self-employment cannot be called entrepreneurship. One user wrote that entrepreneurship means new ideas or innovation, not just working.
