Mohun Bagan Super Giant face Mohammedan Sporting in the Championship Round match on the last day of the Calcutta Football League on Saturday at the Barasat Stadium.
A victory for Bagan will see them win the local league title for the first time since 2018. Mohammedan Sporting will also be motivated to win, as three points will help them regain the title.
Both teams are on four points after two championship-round matches, but Bagan have a better goal difference (plus four).
“We will win,” Subhasish Bose said at a news conference hosted by Skechers, Bagan’s official kit partner.
East Bengal (two points) face Coal India at the club ground, while Bhawanipore Club face United Sports Club at the Barrackpore Stadium.
East Bengal will be winners if the Barasat match and the Barrackpore game end in draws and they win with a goal difference of plus five.
Bhawanipore Club (three points), will be winners if they beat United SC and hope Bagan and Mohammedan Sporting split points and East Bengal are held.
