Storage and distribution of fertilizer and certified seeds is going on rapidly in Narayanpur for Kharif season 2026. The Agriculture Department has made complete preparations to provide materials to the farmers on time.
Raipur. The Agriculture Department of Narayanpur district is working actively to make the Kharif season 2026 successful and to provide necessary agricultural materials to the farmers on time. The aim of the department is that farmers should not face any shortage of fertilizers and certified seeds during monsoon. For this purpose, the process of storage and distribution of fertilizers and improved seeds has been expedited in the district. According to the latest progress report of the Agriculture Department, the distribution of fertilizers and seeds is progressing faster than the target set in the district. So far, more than half of the total target distribution has been completed.
Fertilizer Distribution: Almost half the fertilizer stored against the target, reached most of the farmers
A total target of 4,645 metric tonnes of chemical fertilizer distribution has been set in the district for this Kharif season. In comparison, 2,187.80 metric tons of fertilizer has been safely stored so far, which is about 47 percent of the total target. Out of the stored manure, 1,511.35 metric tonnes i.e. about 69 percent has been distributed to the farmers. This is ensuring availability of fertilizers to the farmers at the time of initial sowing and the preparations for farming are going on smoothly.
Certified Seeds: 87 percent storage of certified seeds, distribution also fast
Keeping in mind better production and good harvest, special attention has also been paid to the availability of certified seeds in the district. This year the district has achieved the target of distribution of 2,303 quintals of seeds. In comparison, the Agriculture Department has so far stored 2,011.80 quintals of seeds, which is about 87 percent of the total target. Of these available seeds, 1,355.96 quintals or about 67 percent have been distributed to the farmers. Due to this, farmers are completing sowing preparations on time.
Farmers should get fertilizers and seeds on time, this is the priority of the department.
The Deputy Director of the District Agriculture Department said that this time preparations for the Kharif season had already been started. The entire scheme has been made on the basis of advance planning so that no farmer has to face trouble for fertilizer or seeds at the time of sowing. He said that storage and distribution of fertilizers and improved seeds is being done continuously, so that agricultural materials can be delivered on time to the farmers of remote and interior areas of the district.
Agriculture Department’s special appeal to farmers to stop black marketing
The Agriculture Department has appealed to the farmers to purchase fertilizers and seeds only from authorized sellers and government cooperative societies. Do not trust any middleman or rumor.
The department has also asked the farmers to take receipt or bill at the time of purchase. If you find any complaint related to shortage of fertilizer and seeds, overcharging or quality at any place, then immediately lodge a complaint with your nearest Rural Agriculture Extension Officer (RAEO) or District Agriculture Office.
Continuous monitoring is going on for the convenience of farmers
The Agriculture Department says that the availability of fertilizers and seeds is being continuously monitored during the Kharif season. Additional storage and distribution will also be done as per need so that no farmer in the district faces shortage of agricultural materials and the Kharif season can be made successful.
