The case of death of businessman Ketan Aggarwal, which came to light from Pune, Maharashtra, has taken a new turn. Initially it was considered an accident, but now the allegations revealed in the FIR and police investigation have made this incident a topic of discussion. Investigating agencies claim that fiancé Sia Goyal and her alleged lover Chetan Choudhary had hatched a complete conspiracy to avoid the arranged marriage. However, these allegations are yet to be confirmed in the court.
What are the allegations in the FIR?
In the FIR lodged on the basis of the complaint of Ketan Aggarwal’s father Vishal Aggarwal, it has been alleged that Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary together pushed Ketan to death by pushing him from the hill of Lohagarh Fort. According to the complaint, Sia was continuously pressurizing Ketan to visit Lohagarh and the incident took place during this trip.
Alleged timeline revealed in investigation
According to sources related to the investigation, Chetan tried to hide his location by switching off mobile internet on the day of the incident. It is alleged that he left his mobile at the shop and by receiving calls from the employees, he created an atmosphere of his presence there. On the way, he used another person’s mobile phone to avoid digital tracking. According to the police, after reaching a deserted part of Lohagarh Fort in the afternoon, Chetan allegedly came forward on a pre-arranged signal and pushed Ketan into a ditch about 400 feet deep. Later he tried to show normal activity by turning on the internet again.
How did the alleged conspiracy break down?
In the investigation, the police have claimed to have gathered many important clues on the basis of mobile internet being shut down for a long time, identification of the suspect in CCTV footage and examination of call records. Officials say that the investigation of the case is being taken forward on the basis of these facts.
On June 18, Ketan Aggarwal had reached Lohagarh Fort with his fiancee. After some time, Siya called the family and informed that Ketan had fallen into the ditch. When taken to the hospital, doctors declared him dead. Later, the family members inspected the spot and refused to accept it as an accident and lodged a complaint with the police. At present the police is investigating all aspects. Further action in the case will be taken on the basis of investigation and available evidence.
