The spokesperson of the show has clarified that the news of Dilip Joshi leaving the show is completely wrong and baseless. The makers said that the audience should not believe the rumors going on on social media. In the upcoming episodes, Jethalal will again be the center of the story and many new twists will be seen around him. That is, it is clear that ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ will not move ahead without Jethalal, but only with Jethalal.

Recently a new Rajasthani family has entered the show. Reports claimed that these new characters will get more importance in the upcoming track, while Jethalal’s screen presence will be reduced. ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, which started on 28 July 2008, is one of the longest running comedy shows on Indian television. In the next few days the show will complete 18 years. In these 18 years, many actors have come and gone, but Dilip Joshi has been entertaining the audience as Jethalal from the first episode till today. His comic timing, banter with Bapuji, chemistry with Dayaben and everyday stories of Gokuldham Society made him a household name.

In such a long journey, many popular artists said goodbye to the show due to personal or professional reasons. Bhavya Gandhi (earlier Tappu) left the show to pursue a career in Gujarati films. Jheel Mehta, Nidhi Bhanushali and Palak Sindhwani have left the character of Sonu at different times. Shailesh Lodha, who played the character of Taarak Mehta for years, is now replaced by Sachin Shroff. Neha Mehta (Anjali), Raj Anadkat (Doshye Tappu), Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal (Roshan Sodhi), Gurucharan Singh, Kush Shah (Goli) and Monica Bhadauria (Bawari) have also departed from the show. Dayaben i.e. Disha Vakani, one of the most popular characters of the show, went on maternity leave in the year 2017. After this he did not return to the show.
