With and even before that, Kiara Advani has been a household name for Bollywood fans. Her post-partum career has also been closely followed by fans, with them eager to see what more she has in store for them.
However, it wasn’t so easy for her earlier. Even with a growing career and a breakout role, she had her fair share of struggles before she could climb to the top alongside her co-stars.
Kiara Advani Had a Tough Time Finding Movies
“After that film (Fugly), there was a big lull because the film didn’t open well. However, critically, several critics praised my performance. But, nothing translated into work. So, it was the same waiting game of going to auditions, some making it, some not. Lots of your choices are also limited. When you are starting off and don’t deliver commercially, the opportunities coming your way are much less. The process is longer.”
Even though she was praised for her work, it wasn’t enough for her to bag roles. She didn’t want to go down the route of doing one commercial film after another, especially if it wasn’t getting her anything. However, a lot of patience changed that with time.
“Even after Dhoni, it was the same story. released in 2019 and then there was no looking back. Those five years had a lot of auditions, waiting, rejections and a few films that I was shooting for. I knew work would bring work, and that actually happened. That’s the age when you are so driven about giving your best.”
Even Sushant Singh Rajput’s MS Dhoni: The Untold Story wasn’t able to get her movies. It wasn’t until Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh that things started changing. Her role as Preeti had gone viral, and suddenly, everyone knew who Kiara Advani was.
