Regarding this, Dr. Ananya Gupta, former Department of Gastrology, AIIMS Delhi, says that many studies have found that there is no concrete scientific evidence to prove the benefits of liver detox drinks. The liver itself is an organ that purifies the blood and removes harmful elements. In such a situation, there is no need for any separate drink.

Then why are these drinks promoted so much?

Dr. Ananya Gupta tells that there are many detox drinks which contain turmeric, ginger, lemon. If you drink alcohol and are suffering from obesity then detox drink is of no use. On the other hand, if you take care of your diet, the liver will remain fit on its own and will detoxify itself, in such a situation there is no need of any separate drink.
