According to leaks, this new phone will have a big battery and dual rear camera setup. Actually, the design of the first generation iPhone Air was praised a lot, but it was also criticized a lot due to its small battery and single rear camera. Now it seems that Apple is preparing to overcome these shortcomings.
China’s famous tipster ‘Digital Chat Station’ has quoted sources related to the supply chain as saying that iPhone Air 2 will have a 3,500mAh battery. The current iPhone Air has a 3,149mAh battery. If this leak proves to be true, then there will be a lot of improvement in the battery life of the new model.
iPhone Air 2 may also come with major changes in terms of performance. If reports are to be believed, this phone will have Apple’s new A20 chipset, which will be built on 2 nanometer technology. Apart from this, the phone is also expected to have a 6.55-inch display with 120Hz refresh rate and 3D face recognition system.
A major upgrade can also be seen in the camera section. It is being said that the iPhone Air 2 will have a dual rear camera setup, which will include a 48-megapixel main camera along with an ultra-wide angle lens. Let us tell you that the current iPhone Air has only a single rear camera of 48 megapixels. According to reports, iPhone Air 2 could be introduced along with the base model iPhone 18 in early 2027. However, Apple has not yet given any official information about this.
Talking about iPhone Air launched last year, its 256GB storage variant was launched in India for Rs 1,19,900. Whereas, the price of 512GB and 1TB variants was Rs 1,39,900 and Rs 1,59,900 respectively. The current iPhone Air has A19 Pro chipset, 6.5 inch display, 5.6 mm thickness, 48 megapixel rear camera and 18 megapixel front camera.
