Police have arrested two people including the hospital technician in the case of murder of 26-year-old nurse Neha Rani at MCC Hospital located on Hapur Road, Meerut. According to police sources, the body of Neha Rani, a resident of Phafunda village of Kharkhoda police station area and a nurse in MCC hospital, was recovered from a room of the hospital last Saturday.

He said that the police had also recovered an alleged suicide note from the spot.

Sources said that during the investigation of the case, in the CCTV footage, operation theater technician Suresh Chand and his partner Farhan were seen going into the room with Neha and coming out after some time. After this, both of them were taken into custody. He told that the police said that during interrogation, both of them have accepted their involvement in the murder.

According to police sources, Suresh and Neha were in a love relationship for the last 7 months while Suresh is already married and has a five-year-old son. Sources said that after Neha pressurized him for marriage, Suresh conspired with Farhan to commit murder. After this, poisonous chemical substance was given to Neha through drip and after becoming unconscious, an attempt was made to make the incident look like suicide by feeding her sulfas.

Police also claim that the accused himself wrote the alleged suicide note and kept it in the clothes of the deceased. Sources said that at the behest of the accused, the police claimed to have recovered the syringe, drip, poisonous chemical substance, note pad and mobile phone of the deceased used in the murder. Police area officer Sangram Singh said that the post mortem report is awaited.
