1) Kirandori embroidery
This embroidery is a traditional embroidery of Malwa region of MP, in which small running stitches are kept in one focus and spread all around. They look like the rays of the sun. In this technique thick cotton or silk threads are used.
2) Banjara Embroidery
Cutcounted thread technique is famous in Malwa and Nimar region. In this, there is no pre-made design on the cloth, rather the artisans count the warp and woof of the cloth and draw the design directly with the needle. The entire embroidery is done by hand and each stitch is placed according to the weave of the fabric, making the design extremely precise and durable.

3) Bhopali Zari Embroidery
A hooked needle called Aari is used in this embroidery. Its biggest specialty is the fine finishing, which is mainly done on luxurious fabrics like velvet, silk, organza and satin.

4) Bhopali Zardozi Embroidery
Bhopal’s Zardozi embroidery is counted among the most magnificent and royal embroideries of India. In this, gold and silver wires, maps, salma, stars and pearls are stitched on the clothes with the help of ordinary needle and thread. Its specialty is that first a layer of cotton is placed under the cloth, so that the embroidery appears raised.
5) Gond embroidery
The art of the Gond tribe was earlier famous in the form of paintings on mud walls but now it is also being carved on clothes. In this embroidery, pictures related to animals, trees, birds and nature are made using satin stitch, stem stitch and chain stitch.
6) Bhil Embroidery
The embroidery of the Bhil tribe is inspired by their famous dotal painting style. In this, using small dots, designs are carved on the clothes with the help of French knot, bullion knot and micro satin stitch. Nowadays, embroidered stoles, cushion covers, wall hangings are also becoming popular.
