India vs Afghanistan: India has bundled out Afghanistan for 152 runs in the first innings of the test match being played in New Chandigarh. Debut spinner Manav Suthar played a big role in reducing Afghanistan’s first innings to 152 runs. He took 6 wickets for 33 runs in 22 overs. After bundling out Afghanistan’s first innings for 152 runs, India also gave them follow-on. After the end of Afghanistan’s first innings, India has a lead of 412 runs.
Afghanistan all out for 152 runs in the first innings
On the third day of the Test match being played at Maharaja Yadvendra Singh Stadium in New Chandigarh, Afghanistan started its first innings at 113 runs for 5 wickets. But within the first session of the third day, their remaining 5 wickets also fell. On the third day, Afghanistan’s remaining 5 wickets added just 39 runs to the score board. In this way Afghanistan could score only 152 more runs in its first innings. In the first innings, only Rahmat Shah scored the only half-century and maximum 60 runs for Afghanistan.
Manav Suthar did wonders in his debut test
Debutant left-arm Indian spinner Manav Suthar played a big role in reducing Afghanistan’s first innings to 152 runs. He single-handedly took 3 out of 5 wickets that fell for Afghanistan on the second day. Even on the third day, he took 3 wickets out of the remaining 5 wickets. In this way he took a total of 6 wickets in the first innings. This is a big achievement for Manav Suthar while playing his debut test.
India follows on, Afghanistan in danger of losing by innings
After all out Afghanistan for 152 runs, India had a lead of 412 runs, which was enough to give Afghanistan a follow-on and Indian captain Shubman Gill did the same. After Team India’s decision to follow-on, Afghanistan is in big danger of losing by innings.
