IMD Weather Forecast Today: According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), on June 1, 2026, different weather will be seen in most parts of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. At some places there is a possibility of rain with clouds and thunder, while at some places there are signs of the temperature increasing again. In such a situation, people need to be cautious of both heat and changing weather.
Which city will be the hottest today?
According to IMD data, the maximum heat can be seen in Buxar and Arrah of Bihar on June 1. The maximum temperature in both cities is expected to reach 41 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, the temperature in Prayagraj, Banda, Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Raipur and Durg is also likely to remain between 39 to 43 degrees Celsius. Heat stress can be felt in many parts of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh during the afternoon.
Delhi weather: Relief from heat, but humidity will increase problems
In the national capital Delhi, the maximum temperature on June 1 is expected to be around 38 degrees and the minimum temperature will be 26 degrees Celsius. The sky will be partly cloudy. Even after the rain and storm of the past few days, the humidity can bother people. However, compared to the thunderstorm system that was active between May 28 and 31, there is no possibility of any major alert on June 1.
How will the weather be in UP?
The weather pattern is going to be mixed in Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of light rain or thundershowers with cloudy sky in many cities including Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Agra and Bareilly. The temperature in Lucknow may remain around 35 degrees while in Prayagraj and Banda the heat may range from 39 to 41 degrees. The weather will be relatively better in Western UP, but the effect of heat and humidity will remain in Eastern UP.

Bihar and Jharkhand: Signs of rain, but heat also continues
There is a possibility of partly cloudy sky and isolated light rain or thunderstorm in Patna, Arrah, Buxar and Aurangabad of Bihar. The maximum temperature in Patna will be around 36 degrees, while Arrah and Buxar may reach 41 degrees. Talking about Jharkhand, cloudy and thundery conditions will prevail in Ranchi, Chatra and Daltonganj. The temperature in Ranchi will be around 34 degrees, due to which the weather may feel relatively pleasant compared to other parts of the state.
Will the temperature rise in Madhya Pradesh or will there be relief?
The weather in Madhya Pradesh will be divided into two parts. There is a possibility of thunderstorm with partly cloudy sky in Bhopal, Indore and Ujjain. Whereas in Jabalpur the weather will be relatively clear. The maximum temperature is expected to be 39 degrees in Bhopal, 39 degrees in Indore and around 40 degrees in Jabalpur. Pre-monsoon activities may increase in many parts of the state in the next few days.
Effect of heat continues in Chhattisgarh
The heat has still not subsided completely in Raipur and Durg of Chhattisgarh. The temperature in Raipur and Durg can reach 43 degrees. However, cloud formation and thunderstorm activities may be seen in some areas in the afternoon.
