New Delhi [भारत]July 13 (ANI): The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the nominees for the ‘ICC Women’s Player of the Month’ award for June 2026. According to the ICC website, Scotland captain Katherine Bryce, India’s spinner Shri Charani and England’s opener Danny Wyatt-Hodge have been shortlisted in this list. All three players have been selected for their stellar performances during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, where they made match-winning contributions with bat and ball for their respective teams.
Katherine Bryce (Scotland)
The Scotland captain made excellent contributions this month, performing brilliantly with both bat and ball. He scored 178 runs in seven T20 Internationals at an average of 25.42 and a strike rate of 140.15. Along with this, he also took 11 wickets at an average of 15.81 and economy rate of 7.10. Bryce played a key role in Scotland’s home tri-series win against Bangladesh and Netherlands ahead of the T20 World Cup. He continued this form in the main tournament and led the team with a match-winning 60 against Ireland in Scotland’s opening match. Also, she continued to achieve important successes with the ball throughout the tournament.
Sri Charani (India)
India’s spinner Shree Charani has made her place among the nominees by becoming the highest wicket-taker in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. This left-arm spinner took 14 wickets in six T20 International matches at an excellent average of 11.00 and economy rate of 6.69. He had several outstanding performances during the tournament, including figures of 3/21 against Pakistan, 4/19 against Netherlands and 3/24 against South Africa. Although India’s campaign ended in the group stage, Charani continued to perform well and took at least two wickets in all five of the team’s group matches.
Danny Wyatt-Hodge (England)
England opener Danny Wyatt-Hodge performed brilliantly at the top order, scoring 287 runs in six T20 Internationals at an impressive average of 71.75 and strike rate of 151.85. His best performance came in England’s T20 World Cup opening match against Sri Lanka, where he scored an unbeaten 105 to help his team reach the tournament’s joint-highest score of 219. Wyatt-Hodge continued his excellent form throughout the tournament and scored match-winning innings of 65 against West Indies and 89 not out against defending champions New Zealand, which saw New Zealand eliminated from the tournament. She finished the tournament’s top run-scorer and became the first woman to score more than 300 runs in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, finishing the campaign with 302 runs. (ANI)
