In Muzaffarpur, a luxury car crushed two girls riding a scooter on Darbhanga four-lane, resulting in the death of both of them. The deceased worked in a finance company. Muzaffarpur (Bihar) [भारत]July 5 (ANI): Police said that two women riding a scooter died after being hit by a speeding luxury car on Darbhanga four-lane in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar on Sunday.
In this accident that took place near Adigopalpur petrol pump, the collision was so strong that one woman died on the spot, while the other died during treatment, causing chaos at the accident site.
The deceased have been identified as Neha Kumari, resident of Sharfuddinpur, and Nishu Kumari, resident of Binoba Chowk. Both worked in a finance company and were going to the city for work at the time of the accident.
According to eyewitnesses, after the incident, BJP flag was seen on the car involved in the accident. Local people reached the spot and pulled out the people trapped in the vehicle. The driver was also found injured and had serious head injuries.
Immediately after receiving the information, police reached the spot and sent both the injured women to the hospital, where one was declared dead and the other died during treatment. The bodies have been sent for postmortem and the crashed vehicle has been seized.
What did the police say?
Speaking to ANI, Bochaha DSP Ajay Vats said, “On the afternoon of July 4, 2026, information was received that a road accident took place between a scooty and a four-wheeler near Adil Gopal Petrol Pump under Bochaha police station area. In the said road accident, one girl died on the spot, while the other seriously injured girl was immediately admitted to the hospital for treatment. During the treatment, the doctors declared the second girl also brought dead.”
The police further said, “Further legal action is being taken in this regard.”
Accident happened in Samastipur also
In a separate incident on Saturday, four laborers were injured when a slab of an under-construction bridge fell on them in Bihar’s Samastipur district. This bridge was being built on the Ganga river in the district.
According to the police, the injured laborers have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Further details are awaited. (ANI)
